I usually buy my carving material on-line when I get school
supplies, but I know that all the art supply stores in my area carry
some variation of a product called : EZ cut., or SafeT cut, tell
them you want the linoleum substitute for printmaking and
mention EZ Cut. I've only used lino cut tools with it, never tried
the exacto blade method. I personally like the lino cut look. But
exacto blades would work with this material as well, I am sure.
these stores have carving materials:
Amsterdam Art---Berkeley
The Art Store--Berkeley/Oakland
Utrecht--Berkeley
Artist Supply--Berkeley
Flax--SF
